Unite Community enters a new era

Unite Community Leeds is embarking upon an exciting new era in its development – our two new community support centres in Farsley and central Leeds will be opening in the next few weeks.

Our centre in Farsley will be located in the former bridal shop on Old Road.  We will be sharing the premises with Pudsey Labour Party, whose candidate for the General Election is Jamie Hanley, backed by Unite the Union.

Our base in the city centre will be in Ebor Court just off WellingtonStreet. Ebor Court is home to a large number of voluntary organisations and is managed by Leeds Christian Community Trust (LCCT).

The aim of Unite Community is to assist people who have been traditionally non-unionised, including unemployed and retired people. Membership is also open to carers, students and volunteers.

We can offer support and advice on welfare benefits, community issues and we will campaign on a range of matters affecting our members. The Farsley centre will also act as a foodbank drop-off point for the Tressell Trust.

Contact details, opening times and other relevant information to be posted soon.

As a grassroots organisation which values its members, your comments and opinions will be welcomed. We look forward to seeing you.
