Heartunions Week

It’s heartunions week. But this week unionstogether aren’t only celebrating our unions – we’re also celebrating a relationship that has stood the test of time…

In 1901, the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants and other unions founded what is now the Labour Party. In the 115 years that have passed, our Party, encouraged by the union movement, has fought and won ground breaking rights for working people across this country. From the NHS to the Equal Pay Act to the minimum wage, together we have made life better for working people and their families.

Whilst love is in the air, we want to show our love for the movement and we’re asking if you’d like to join us?

Simply tell us why you heartunions in 120 characters or fewer, and we will use them to tell the story of our movement this heartunions week.

Join us for heartunions week, celebrating the achievements that have spun from the relationship of the century.

In solidarity,

Melanie Bartlett, Campaigns Co-ordinator, unionstogether
