Organised by South Leeds Life
The EU referendum – widely described as the most important political decision the UK has faced in a generation – is on Thursday 23rd June. Organised by South Leeds Life (southleedslife.com) are therefore hosting two public debates – this, and another on Friday 10th June at Arts@Trinity in the city centre (https://www.facebook.com/events/1706447446290981/).
They will take the form of a panel discussion – with speakers from a range of political standpoints, as well as local representatives from business, charities, culture and the arts, and more. Full line-up to be announced the week before.
Both are FREE – but we expect them to be busy, so arrive early to get a seat. Doors open at 6.30pm, and the formal debate will start at 7.30pm. Drinks and snacks will be available.
QUESTIONS AND INPUT from audience members will be a core part of the events. If you wish to submit a question beforehand, please email us (email@example.com) with your question (no more than 50 words), your name and phone number, tell us which debate you’ll be attending, and if you’re willing to read out the question yourself.
Further details on the referendum are here: http://www.aboutmyvote.co.uk/upcoming-elections-and-referendums/eu-referendum. If you’re not already registered to vote, the deadline to do so is Tuesday 7th June. This BBC article also has loads of info:http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-32810887.
THANKS all, spread the word, be in touch if you want, then hopefully see you then.
