PUBLIC MEETING AND DISCUSSION with JOHN LISTER
Wednesday 22nd June 7.00 — 9 .00 pm
(on the corner of Swinegate and Lower Briggate)
JOHN LISTER founder member and national secretary of Keep Our NHS Public, Executive Director of London Health Emergency, senior lecturer in journalism, worked with the World Health Org. on global health policy. Author of ‘The NHS After 60: for Patients or Profits ?’
With spending on health care driven down to well below the European average, outsourcing to private companies increasing exponentially, localities forced to come up with 5 year plans to cut the deficit and staff under attack, the NHS is being besieged by a Government that has no commitment to publicly provided, free and fair care for all.
Come along to this meeting to hear how the current attack on the junior doctors is just one part of a plan to dismantle the NHS and join in discussing how we can organise the resistance.
